Look What I Found

I was cleaning out a some old things that had belonged to my husband mother that I just put away and never got back too. When I put this away I never even looked into it till the other day. I figured it had old letter or card that belonged his his grandmother. Look at what was in the box.
A tatting book and two shuttles which had to belong to his grandmother because his mother did any kind of craft at all.

Then there are some patterns that she had cut out .

More patterns she had in the box.

  1. What a fabulous surprise to find! How interesting to look through the patterns someone cut out and saved to make someday. Wouldn't you love to meet her?

  3. What a treasure! I plan a post soon about the glut of tatting patterns we have now compared to even 10 years ago. They really didn't have that much back then.

  4. What a marvelous legacy and a connection to the past. You are now permanently connected across the years to Grandmother through your interests in tatting. It is wonderful how this tenuous thread ties Tatters together so strongly. Enjoy this wonderful inheritance.
