The Rooster is body is done in Kitty Gritty by Marilee (yarnplayer) . Not sure why the beck and feet did not come out yellow. The pattern is by Christel Weidmann
I did these with Sherry(ladyshuttlemaker) Coffee n Cream. Sorry the picture is not better. I had a problem with my photo program. Took me more then two hours to get it taken care of. So now I have a head ache. It will go away in a little while now that my problem is taken care of.
Look at your tatted menagerie! I keep thinking the chickens are going to look cute as little motifs on a kitchen dishtowel/teatowel for a rooster themed kitchen.
I will be lucky to get them any where except a box. My great grandson like to pley with all of them . He does take good care not to mess them up and always puts them back. I know he will out grow playing with my tatting one of these day's and then I will get something done with them.
I have been going through your entire blog today. I love all your tatted animals!! But the Rooster and chicken have to be my favorite! I wish I had this pattern. I have chickens and I would love to tat this. OMGosh.... I just remembered I ordered this book last year. Let me go find it. Be right back.... Yes... I have it and the rooster is in it. I forgot all about it till now. LOl!! I love the color you did yours in. I don't have that color, but I do have Yarnplayers Tourmaline set.. I wonder how he would look in those colors. I'll post him when I am done.
I learned to tat from Mary Sue Kuhn in the 80. She also taught me how to do the split ring.
The reason for the name of the site was because my dad alway would say Katy did it. He was right most of the time. With three older sisters and two younger sisters and younger brother. So I was really the middle child.
