DMC Thread box

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted. No tatting to show. But my son Patrick who is a carpenter did get over and build a small deck and new back steps. He also put in new basement steps. Had get him here before hunting season started, other wise I would of had to wait till next summer.

Now I should have a little more time, Aracin great grandson started back to school today. Boy am I going to miss him during the day. It will just be really quite around here. Should be able to get cought up on the cleaning.

There was a store here called Creative Corner (better known as the Pink House) . Her children talked her into retiring at the age of 84. I asked if they were going to sell the DMC thread boxes. They took my name and number any way I brought 10 of them and they are great for putting my thread.

I didn't think it had been this long since I posted. Greatgrand son here most of the time while Mom is at work and taking collage class at night. Here is what I have been doing.
I did Jon Yusoff Magic Moment Snowflake in Pamela (Tatskool's) CocoRaspberry size 20. I had some thread left so did one of the three color triangle for the Shuttle Brothers book Self Closing Mock Ring.

The Butterfly and Heart is made with Pamela Myers (Tatskool's) Rasberry and Chocolate mousse size 20 . The heart is Mother's Day Heart Jon Yusoff. this was my first time doing the Daisy Picot.

The Butterfly I cannot fine the sheet that tells me who did the pattern. So if anyone know please leave a note and let me know.

The Ruffled Heart pattern by Vicki Clarke I used Marille's (Yarnplayertats) Peace size 20 thread.

August Birthday Flower by Jon Yusoff from the online tatting class Size 20 Lizabeth thread.
Onion Ring Butterfly by Hope Green size 20 thread.

Two tomato and a carrot from Tatting Lace book. just using up thread so I would have some empty shuttles size 20 thread.

Small Bird and snail by Sarver Morgan I used Marille's (Yarnplayertats) Peace size 20 thread.

Spring Basket on paper clip by Ellen Lai size 20 thread. The three hearts and two butterflies ( I think the butterflies are from the same book) are from a old Better Homes and Gardens Creative Ideas. The two Flowerflies pattern is by Wally Sosa Size 20 thread. The one heart with beads I am not sure where I got it at.

Tatskool's Threads, Krokodil, Turtle, Koala bear, Zebra's

I just had to have Tatskool's Chocolate and Raspberry threads. Still not sure what I am going to tat with them, still looking. She also sent me a Little bitty sample of her Coral Reef. I love all of her thread colors.

All of the pattern's are by Christel Weidmann, her Crocodile is tatted with LadyShuttleMaker (Sherry Pence) Rainforest. Koala bear & Turtle are made with Sherry Pence's Butter Toffee. Love the colors.

The Zebra's patterns are by Christel Weidmann, Tatted with Lizbeth thread size 20.

Cross, butterfly, two birds, horse, swan bookmark

Thought I would post these while I had the time. All still need blocked, but half to wait till we have a warm day. Otherwise our cat Charlotte ( or crazy cat as I call her) she is just wild. Maybe it is because she does not get to go outside. She love the straight pins with the little heads on them. Then I fine pin's all over the house and half to do it all over again.

The cross is Mark"s aka Tatman, the butterfly is from the Russian book I posted earlier as is the horse. Butterfly is tatted with Blue lagoon Solid Deep blue by Tattkool size 20. The rest is all done in Lizbeth thread. Swan bookmark is from the Animal Bookmarks A Tatted Zoo by Dianna Stevens The thread is hand dyed by either Yarnplayer or Lady Shuttle Maker. Sorry I lost the tag.

I have been tatting but do not have time to post it right now. Have large flower bed's which need weeding. The gress grows almost as fast as it gets mowed. We have had a lot of rain this spring with more to come tonight. Also school is out so my great grandson is here everyday while mom is at work. Love having him all day again.

Books, Thread and Teapot

Haven't done much tatting this month. Glad Easter is over had between 15-20 here for dinner. Now that it has warmed up, I will be spending a lot of time outside doing yard work. It is just nice to be out side again. It was a very long winter.
I did get one of Martha Ess Teapot's done. I even learned how to do the maltese ring.

The mail man brought me two books. One is in Russian I had to wait almost three months on this to come. It was on backorder. I also got Martha Ess Tea is for Tatting book.

Some of Marilee Rockley threas, Blue Pansy, Soft Pansy and Purple Pansy. I love the hand dyed thread.

Bunny and Roses

The Roses are from Linda S. Davies Summer Collection of tatted flowers. This rose is so easy to tat and put together. I am going to make some more of then. Done in size 20 thread. The variegated one is tatted with Marilee ( Yarnplayers) Peace thread.

Bunny Pattern is by Mark Myers done in size 10 DMC thread. Grandson wanted a big bunny.
